About KVK Deoria

The KVK was established in 2008 to promote technology transfer, capacity building and research linkages among farmers and agriculture professionals of the district. It operates under ICAR-IIVR Varanasi and caters to the farming needs of 14 adopted villages through various demonstrations, training programmes and extension activities.

Major Activities

On-farm testing to identify location specific technologies under various farming systems.
Frontline demonstrations to establish production potential of new technologies on farmers’ fields.
Training of farmers and extension personnel on modern agricultural technologies.
Function as a resource and knowledge centre for public, private and voluntary sector initiatives.
Organize extension activities and awareness programmes on improved technologies.
Produce and supply quality seed and planting material to farmers.
